Social Security is here to stay!

I know that politics provides information to scare us and one popular one is ‘Social Security is going bankrupt’. It can’t go bankrupt- the government has an IOU to everyone that has paid in. They will honor their obligation and payout. How they payout and how they charge the generation paying in may change. Stay tuned as I learn more or reach out to discuss this in more detail with me.
But in the meantime, I highly recommend you log into social security and download the statement. If you haven’t already done this, take some time today to create your account.
For those of us who haven’t retired and are still paying into social security — check your Statement yearly to make sure your earnings record is correct
